Camden Keeps Kids First In Education

The Camden County Board of Education meets on the second Thursday of every month at Camden County High School, located at 103 US 158 West in the Media Center. Meeting time is 7:30 p.m.

The public is invited to attend. Anyone wishing to address the Board of Education must first contact the Superintendent’s office at 252-335-0831 to be added to the agenda.

The Camden County Board of Education has five elected members that serve four-year terms. Board Members represent the entire county due to the at-large election process. Members are elected in November and are sworn in at the December meeting. Board members and terms are listed on the Board Members page.

Joint Work Session

The Camden County Board of Commissioners and the Camden County Board of Education will hold a joint work session in the Community Room of the Camden Public Library on March 29, 2023 at 6:00 PM to discuss matters relating to the construction of the new high school.

The Camden County Board of Education will meet for a Budget Work Session on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. at Central Office in the Superintendent’s Office.  Closed Session will immediately follow the Budget Work Session

Specially Called Meeting

PUBLIC NOTICE OF SPECIALLY CALLED MEETING OF THE CAMDEN COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION

The Camden County Board of Education will meet in a specially called meeting on Friday, March 24, beginning at 9:00 a.m.

The meeting will take place at the Camden County Public Library located at 118 NC Highway 343 North in Camden, North Carolina.

The only item on the agenda for the meeting will be a closed session to discuss confidential personnel matters pursuant to G.S. 143-318.11(a)(1), (a)(3), (a)(6), and G.S. 115C-321.
